Roundtable Symposium
The Ethical Dilemmas Roundtable Symposium offers opportunities for students, faculty, administrators, and community members to critically explore real-world ethical dilemmas in education. It is an opportunity to not only discuss key issues but also to collaborate and contribute to a larger conversation on the future of ethical leadership in education. The event includes a keynote presentation, panel discussion and modelling of dialogic communication and analysis of ethical dilemmas through a multi-paradigm approach, and facilitated roundtable discussions.
Inaugural Symposium
On November 22, 2024, students in a graduate course in education titled Ethical Issues in Higher Education Leadership hosted the inaugural Ethical Dilemmas Roundtable Symposium at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, BC. The Symposium was an opportunity for members of the TRU community to critically explore real-world ethical dilemmas in higher education.
Second Annual Symposium
The 2nd annual Symposium occurred on November 26, 2025. A short documentary of the event directed by graduate student Olopade Adebimpe will be available in early 2026.
